How can we procure?
In parallel distribution of medicines, there are two options for procurement:
Option 1: Country of Origin through Local Wholesale Companies
Buy medicines from the country of origin through local wholesale companies.
Option 2: Manufacturer in Local Language Packages
Buy medicines direct from the manufacturer in local language packages from the country of origin.
Lithuania’s PI Procedure: A Technical Overview
1. MA in exporting country:
- MA with a generic application (10.1) or an original application (8.3) in place
2. Lithuanian MA Alignment:
- Match MA with an existing Lithuanian MA.
- Options include both generic (10.1) and original (8.3) applications.
3. Expedited Approval Process:
- Leverage the Fast Track approval mechanism for quicker market entry.
4. Exception for Injectables:
- For injectable forms, a direct match isn’t mandatory.
- An MA from the country of export with WEU endorsement is deemed suitable.
